Purpose:
This is a free, database-driven web-based application for creating and maintaining Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on your web site.

  • March 29, 2006: Instances of $PHP_SELF replaced with $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] so register globals will not need to be enabled.

Requirements

  • Platform independent (However, only tested on Linux, AIX, and Win XP)

Installation

  1. Create a MySQL table, preferably faqmasterflex, then copy and paste SQL from faqmasterflex.sql info with your favorite GUI SQL tool (phpMyAdmin).
  2. Open faq_config.php and change MySQL connection variables. Make certain these variable are correct! Most errors are a result of incorrect MySQL server name, MySQL user name, or MySQL password.
  3. Upload contents of PassMasterFlexPlus to your web server.
  4. Login using (if not changed in faq_config.php):
    Username: admin
    Password: admin

  5. After setup, change the username/password! Otherwise, that's it!
